As we are keen about our reader’s health and their wellbeing, we have been working on interviewing international cardiologists from all over the globe. We have landed in Niger, as we had a small interview with one of the Arabian best cardiologists; Prof. Ali Toure Ibrahim; he was very generous to answer our questions.
What motivated you to be a part of CardioAlex international faculty?
It was my satisfaction of my First participation in 2016.It was really very impressive!
What is your advice for the Egyptian young physicians?
My advice for young Egyptian physicians is to very hard workers and to be proud of CardioAlex sessions: it is one of the most famous one in the world.
What is new in your topic this year?
My topic this year is on peripartum cardiomyopathy which an uncommon heart failure during or after pregnancy. It occurs Regularly in African Women, in Asia and LMIC countries.
Is tightening in the chest a warning for heart disease?
Yes, it can be! But not all chest pain. After one chest pain you should go the doctor to Control either it is or it isn’t à pain RELATED to heart. Don’t wait! Time is Muscle (of the heart). Better to go to the doctor to be sure it is not heart pain instead of waiting and dying before seeing the doctor, before time. Save time for your heart. Go to the Doctor.
As it’s Women Year in Egypt, what is the best prevention methods for women’s heart?
Avoid smoking, reduce fatty foods, reduce salt, reduce sugar. Practice sport (at least walking) Prevent excess of weight. Control regularly BLOOD pressure. Hygiene of tooth and dental. GO hygiene.
What advice you give to smoking addicts?
It is very urgent to stop smoking because of very bad effects on heart and vessels and on Cancers (of throat tongue stomach etc).
